We welcome a variety of groups for guided educational visits to Moor Farm.
- Pre- and Primary School Children
- Brownies, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts
- Clubs and Associations such as WI and Rotary Club
We love promoting the Countryside and feel that it is important to engage with youngsters; to encourage an understanding of how farms work and where food comes from.
To give more than a glimpse of a real, working farm that they will remember throughout their lives.
We are in the Higher Level Scheme and have environmental stewardship field margins, beetle banks and pollen and nectar field corners.
We were given a Special Award for excellence by the RSPB as part of the Thorney Farmland Bird-friendly Zone, helping support declining species including the Skylark.
We host fully guided educational visits to groups and schools as part of our Higher Level Stewardship scheme and can offer 25 free visits to Primary schools each year.
Tractor and trailer rides for all can be pre booked too.
We can accommodate all abilities and offer a wide range of activities to meet the needs of the curriculum, so please let us know in advance.
We are Learning Outside the Classroom accredited.
We can offer help and support to schools with their Food for Life projects too including supplying free range meat and Red Tractor assurances.
